Unlike other schools, OCGD students are hand picked, via interview and if necessary a 4 day taster class.

We vet you because we care about your futures. We won’t accept anyone who is not capable of successfully completing the course.

By being particular about our selection process, we can also make sure less able students don’t monopolise tutors’ time

You will be considered on your own merits. Preference will be given to those applicants with experience in an art/design/architecture based or horticultural related subjects.

Applicants without prior experience may still be eligible, but will be asked to complete the 4 day taster class before being officially accepted.

All students should have been educated to at least ‘A’ level standard with overseas students having passed an exam in English to a minimum of Cambridge Certificate grade C or equivalent.

The college reserves the right to change the course dates, structure and venue without notice.
